Keepcompany

Content policy

What you can do here, what the 18+ area adds, what is never allowed, and what happens when a rule is broken. Keepcompany is for adults, and this page treats you as one.

What adults can do here

Romance, closeness, attraction and flirting are normal here. So is fiction with dark or difficult themes, for adults who write or play characters who are not themselves. A character can be sad, angry, flawed or wrong.

Outside the 18+ area, intimate scenes fade out rather than being described, and pictures stay non-explicit.

What the 18+ area allows

Explicit sexual text is available only in the 18+ area, which comes with a paid plan, and only to an adult who has:

Without both, explicit passages are hidden from the reply and marked as hidden. In a group chat, explicit text is only available if every person in it has done both. Pictures stay non-explicit.

Never, at any setting

Never, at any setting: minors, real people, non-consent, incest, bestiality (real animals; anthro and fantasy characters are fine), sexual gore, necrophilia, scat.

These hold for everyone, including adults who have passed the age check and switched 18+ on. They are stopped by software that runs outside the AI model (how that works), so a character cannot be talked past them.

Report something

You can report a message, a picture, a character or an account in two ways:

Tell us what the content is and where (a link or the character's name), and why you think it breaks the law or our rules. Your name and email are optional; with an email we can tell you what we decided. If you believe content is illegal, please say which law it breaks. Reports are read by people on our team, not by the AI.

What happens next

If you disagree with a decision

You can appeal within 6 months of our decision, by replying to the email with our decision, or by writing to abuse@keepcompany.ai with "Appeal" in the subject. This works whether you reported the content or it was your content we acted on. A different person from the one who made the first decision looks at it, within 14 days. If we were wrong, we restore the content or the account.

You can take a dispute about our decision to a certified out-of-court dispute settlement body; the European Commission publishes the list of certified bodies. You can complain to the Bundesnetzagentur (Germany's Digital Services Coordinator). For data protection, the competent authority is Die Sächsische Datenschutz- und Transparenzbeauftragte (Saxony's data protection authority, Dresden). Your right to go to court is not affected.

If content uses your work or your likeness without permission, report it the same way and choose "copyright or likeness". We remove it once we have checked the claim.
